The ECOBAT facility RSR in the US invested in high-tech solutions to reduce production emissions substantially.

The new RSR technology for reducing lead emissions is second to none. RSR has installed a Wet Electrostatic Precipitator and a Regenerative Thermal Oxidzier (WESP and RTO) at its City of Industry, California facility and WESP at the company’s Indianapolis, Indiana facility. The results have been impressive. RSR has cut its emissions of lead by more than 95% and is in compliance with the revised National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for lead.

Emissions of other heavy metals have also been dramatically reduced by this technology. RSR is currently constructing another WESP at its Middletown, New York facility. Even without the installation of WESP, the Middletown facility remains in compliance with all federal and state environmental regulations.
